Te Makiri House

This newly built, mid-century styled beauty is set within the ever-changing vista of the Onetangi vineyard valley.    Walking distance from the house is an array of vineyards including Obsidian, Tantalus, Wild on Waiheke, Te Motu, Stoneyridge, and Casita Miro. The interior has an open layout as the photos display.   Indoor-outdoor flow is easily obtained by either the northern lounge suit and spa, or southern views by way of large bifold doors. A wrap around deck gives full access to all areas of the property.

The bedrooms are located down the hall – Master bedroom with king bed and ensuite, 2 children’s rooms – both with king single beds. With two young kids, we have plenty to entertain – a large trampoline, basketball and netball hoop, tree hanging swings, and low maintenance chickens. 

Experience a romantic get away with award winning wineries within minutes walking distance, including the award winning Obsidian, Casita Miro, and Te Motu. Wine and dine your way around the island, or wander down to the arguably best beach Waiheke has to offer, Onetangi. A short walk down the hill, Onetangi’s white sands stretch for 2km and will take you to popular bars and restaurants and offer perfect swimming and paddle boarding opportunities.

The local Charlie’s is a buzzing casual atmosphere, while Ki Maha and ThreeSevenTwo offer exquisite dining experience for foodies alike.Catch the bus or continue a short walk up the road to play a round of golf, or experience even more vibrant wineries such as Tantalus, Stony Ridge, Wild on Waiheke, and Heke Brewery and Distillery. 

Each stay incurs a $200 charge for quality linen, towels and exit clean so you have nothing to do but relax, refresh and enjoy.
